  1. You’re not sure what changes you really want to make.

    • How can you make a change when your vision is blurry? You may need a quick change of scenery to get those creative juices flowing.
    • Inspiration is everywhere, you just have to be open and look.
  3. You’re afraid.
    • It’s ok to be afraid of change.
    • Take a deep breath and actually understand how better your life will be once you take that first step to fulfilling your life goals. Yes, it may make you uncomfortable, but growth can not occur without hard work and sacrifice.
    • Sometimes being afraid is the fuel you need to face your fears and starting moving towards your new life.
  4. You don’t have a stong support system.
    • It’s ok to not have any support from family or friends, its your dream.
    • You have to dig deep with in yourself and support your own changes in life.
    • Gather the strength you used to come up with the changes and believe you are enough to make sure you have control over your own life and goals. It will be happynewyear2017achieved if you work hard and believe.
  5. You have set an unrealistic goal for yourself.
    • Come down a notch if  you have to with your changes, nothing happens over night.
    • You want to make sure if the goal is big, you  have little goals as well to paint the big picture in the end.
    • I want you to be human and feel accomplished when you complete a task, so take it a little easy on yourself, you’ll get there.

We always skip over the joys of thanksgiving because we are looking forward to Black Friday and racing to the finish line to get gifts for Christmas. We can really prepare for Thanksgiving by making sure you don’t over spend for the big turkey day. Make sure you speak with family and friends to find out who’s cooking what, may take some dishes out of your kitchen and you don’t have to make them. Look for deals on meat and dressing. The grocery stories will be filled with wild shoppers looking for the last can of Cranberry sauce so make sure you start your pricing and shopping early, you don’t want to get trapped in a world wind a couple of days  before to lack of preparation. The new year always brings great new goals and habits, try making a vision board prior to the ball drop to make sure you stay focused.

Are Your 2015 New Year Resolutions Cliche?

Happy New Year From Hopoffthis.Com! But, are your 2015 New Year Resolutions cliché? When you hear the word ” Cliche” 9 times out of ten people never want to put themselves in that category, but trust and believe its possible.  Just so we’re all on the same page here,

So, are you already questioning what you’ve promised to change or improve for the new year?

Let’s go over a few that are highly overused and abused new year resolutions.

1. I will work out/ lose weight.

Make sure your actually trying to lose weight, not mentally preparing to say it again in 2016. Are you going to change your eating habits? What about this phrase excites you to get up and do something for yourself?

2. I’m going to travel the world this year.

Traveling is so expensive, including passports, tickets, and anything else you need to do it. Has this been your go to phrase? When is the last time you’ve even been 5 hours away from home. If your going to travel, it’s ok to start small and progress.

3. I wanna change the way I dress!

You could have done that yesterday. Fashion does not mean empty your pockets for the most expensive thing you can find. People use this as a new years resolution to feel better. You are dressing the way you want, right now. Why wait till the new year, to only dress the same in 2 days? Go thrifting, actually go purchase something you would never wear and try it out.

4. I’m cutting the drama out of my life this year.

Stop right there. Even mentioning this out loud means you are full of drama yourself. At any point in time you have the power to change what you allow. Here you are again stating what you’re gonna do this year with certain people. You will have this same conversation, in 2016, with the same people if you wait on a new year to change these habits.

Bottom line people, change doesn’t start because of a new year. Do what you love, embrace your faults and work towards positivity and changing them. You don’t have to feel empty because you didn’t run on the treadmill the first of the year. It’s OK. Pick a day to start and just go. Your results will give you satisfaction in the end but you actually have to start somewhere.

1. On friday after work, make sure you complete any task that you might need to allocate time to during your weekend. You’re still in work mode believe it or not and you will feel complete if you finish everything Friday and don’t stress about it over the weekend.

2. Take a look at your calendar over the weekend and pre-plan your activities. The way you spend your weekend can affect your monday morning. So use your time wisely.

3. Try to relax over the weekend, don’t stress your time with boat loads of activities. Friday evening, saturday and sunday are so special to people, but they forget to stop the partying for a second and take some time to enjoy the actual time off. If you feel like it passed you buy without any mental relaxation, your monday can be a disaster.
