1. Identify when you’re susceptible to other people’s emotions:

  • Being alone is the only way your can recharge your energy
  • Your careful about opening yourself to others because loss of communication feels like loss of self
  • Your feelings are hurt very easily
  • You tend to always need a way out just in case your feel uncomfortable, such as leaving early in your car from events or commitments.

2. Discover the source:

  • Ask yourself, are you feelings your own emotions or someone elses?
  • You tend to soak up energy from the enviroment or people you’ve come in contact with. Close proximity to people with negative energy can cause energy fields to overlap.

3. Make effort to distance yourself from the source:

  • Take time to feel the energy around you, what do you feel?
  • Are you comfortable in your space? If not take few feet from the negative energy and see if you feel better
  • Don’t hesitate to change seats with individuals if you feel negative energy in a public place

4. Shield yourself from negative energy:

  • Visualize a space of bright light protecting your energy
  • Think about positive things in your life that have been created
  • Look for positive people and positive energy to uplift your spirits

5. Manage your emotions with care:

  • Turn your curse of collecting negative emotions into a positive, practice setting yourself free
  • Be aware of people who have the energy to bring you down
  • Deal with others from a distance until you manage to control what energy you allow into your space

6. Create a personal space for yourself that allows emotional disengagement from the world:

  • Have an open area that allows you to collect yourself along with your thoughts
  • Enjoy time alone, think about ways to better yourself instead of looking at it as being alone
  • Practice something soothing, like reading, writing, resting and yoga

I hope these steps allow your to center yourself and stop absorbing emotions from other people. Learn to have control over your body and everything that makes you happy or sad. It is important to be in touch with yourself so you can live your life full of health and happiness.

Eccentric Danny

Hopoffthis.Com got the opportunity to interview Detroit’s own Eccentric Danny, one of the hottest artist in the city! Talk about art that will blow your mind, this man has a creative passion for colors, textures and an all around vision that he wants the world to understand. Daniel Geanes also knows as Eccentric Danny of simply ” Danny” has impressed the art world beyond belief.
 “I realized I had a passion for art I want to say back in early 2012, when I was doing random designs and talking to Adidas via email and twitter. I believe God gives everybody a purpose in life and its our obligation to find what it is. I believe I’ve been gifted to reach out to people through my art but my main purpose is to help others and I’ll use my gift as a bridge to do just that.”
Now speaking of his artwork, Hopoffthis.Com wanted to know the detail about his most proud piece and the response was incredibly inspiring,eccentricdanny “I have a great deal of love for every art piece I’ve done so it is hard to say what my most proud piece is.  One that does stick out to me is this piece where I have this character I created standing at attention fully naked showing vulnerability with her head held high with destruction all around her because it has so much meaning to it. You can look at it and see so much from the picture and I love that. I try to show emotion in my characters faces and body posture no matter if its abstract or representational.”
If anyone celebrity  in the world could personally request you to do a piece art, who would you want it to be and why?
“I love how Swizz Beatz is a huge art head so I would love to do a request from him but my biggest inspiration is still Dwayne (Lil’ Wayne) Carter. I love how his methods are and how he carried himself in the past and still does. If he wants something he goes out and does it and doesn’t look back. He’s very versatile and is always trying to better himself. I remember he said the studio and music is his life to others that is their JOB! I believe that the main reason celebrities go “crazy” or suicidal is because they cross that path where they are not doing what they are passionate about for the love but they are rather now doing it for their fans and/or to stay relevant which brings stress and turns it into a job.”
 Who is your support system and what keeps you going?
“My biggest support system I would say has to be my G4E comrades and the people of Enjoy Detroit! I love all my fans and believers to the fullest. God and the people around me is what keeps me going. I am a very spiritual person and believe nothing is possible without God. I cannot say that my haters are my motivators because I never pay mind to people who hate because I’m so busy thanking God, working, and paying attention to those that love.”
 Can you tell me about your affiliation with G4E?
“Far as my affiliation with G4E let me start off with its meaning. G4E stands for Grind For Everything and is a group for those who feel they should make efforts to change their life rather than sitting at home playing the lottery, doing credit card scams, or just plain settling for less. I am a visual artist in the group and two of the other main members are rappers LouiseMaC and Grizzy.”
After speaking with Danny, he really wanted to make sure his supports and fans know how much he appreciates their support, “

Why Is It So Hard To Spring Forward?

ClockWe all love the extra hour of daylight, but why is it so hard to spring forward? Hopoffthis.Com wants to give some great insight on how intense this time change can be on the body and mind.  Do we even know what daylight savings time is? Daylight saving time (DST) or summer time, “is the practice of advancing clocks during the lighter months so that evenings have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in the autumn.”

According to The Huffington Post, “It’s easier to delay,” explains Dr. Muhammad Hamadeh, M.D., the medical director of the sleep disorders center at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Chicago. “If you go to sleep at 10 p.m., you can stay up another hour and sleep at 11 p.m. But asking you to go to sleep earlier is harder, like falling asleep at 9 p.m. instead of 10 p.m.”

“The disruption to the body’s natural rhythms can be felt for days, particularly when there’s more morning darkness immediately after the start of Daylight Saving Time.Light is the primary time cue for our natural clock. When light changes, that goes out of sync with our internal clock. Hamadeh says secretion of several hormones in the early morning or early evening — like the sleep-promoting hormone melatonin — can quickly become out of sync during Daylight Saving changes.”

So with that being said, make sure the extra hour of daylight doesn’t give room for procrastination.Eat healthy and get a good nights rest through spring summer, it really does take a toll on your body. DST only last from Sunday March 9th to Sunday November 2nd so make sure you enjoy it!

While reading the Huffingtonpost.Com , “According to researchers, Monday mornings are so depressing that, on average, we don’t crack our first smile until 11:16 a.m., reports The Telegraph.’The study by Marmite, the British food spread, also found that half of employees will be late to work, and will only log about three-and-a-half hours of productive work time.”

So the question is how do we get out of this mental and physical hatred for monday? Don’t worry here are 7 great tips from Hopoffthis.Com to break your bad Monday habits:

1. On friday after work, make sure you complete any task that you might need to allocate time to during your weekend. You’re still in work mode believe it or not and you will feel complete if you finish everything Friday and don’t stress about it over the weekend.

2. Take a look at your calendar over the weekend and pre-plan your activities. The way you spend your weekend can affect your monday morning. So use your time wisely.

3. Try to relax over the weekend, don’t stress your time with boat loads of activities. Friday evening, saturday and sunday are so special to people, but they forget to stop the partying for a second and take some time to enjoy the actual time off. If you feel like it passed you buy without any mental relaxation, your monday can be a disaster.

4. Think about your positive monday over the weekend. Don’t try to avoid monday mentally, because it will be coming shortly. Take the time over the weekend to think and speak positivity for the upcoming week.
